Fear - 1

Categories of Fear:

1. Fear that cripples (negative) - harmful fear that comes from Satan, flesh and the world; it tells you that it is impossible even with God; used by Satan to enslave and paralyze people, keeps us away from God

2.  Fear that honors (positive) – God equips us with this fear and it draws us closer to God

Subcategories of Fear:

1. Holy Fear - reverence for God, He is number one, do not want to disappoint God, this produces a Holy reverence which brings wisdom, obedience and blessing

2. Discernment - distinguishes one thing from another (truth from falsehood, virtue from vice); produces divine character (what I speak is what I live), produces apprehension or caution (cause and effect mindset), produces common sense and self-discipline

3. Terror - produces anxiety, guilt, regret and doubt

4. Judgment of God – we don’t forgive ourselves, this produces wrath, negative attitude and unforgiveness for others
